Britannia Onsite Concrete part of the Gill Group are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers for local aggregate drops and Class 2 Volumetric Mixer Drivers to join their team in Bilston, West Midlands.

Ideally, for the position of the volumetric truck driver, you will have the skills and knowledge needed to be able to operate the volumetric trucks but training can be given. Working on both local drops and highways across the country, and delivering to building project the work would involve working day or night shifts.

The Class 1 drivers will be working locally collecting and delivering aggregates in our brand new vehicles.

We are looking for flexible, motivated individuals who are looking to provide a good service to our customers with a helpful can-do attitude.

Gill Civil Engineering Ltd is an established Civil Engineering company who work across the UK at Airports/Docks and Highways on Slipform Paving and reinforced concrete works. Due to continued growth, the company is now looking for a Business Development Manager.

To determine the sales strategy for the company’s overall operation, maintain and support the company to complete all projects safely on time and within budget. To highlight possible growth areas that may provide an additional source of revenue generation to the company which requires similar business skills to that currently employed within Gill Civil Engineering Ltd but which are not currently actively sold or developed.

To Provide marketing support to the company. Assist to identify and pre-qualify for Tender opportunities. Assist the Managing Director in developing new areas of the business.

Duties to include:

· Research and Analysis of highlighted Marketing opportunities.

· Production of Marketplace Business Development Plan to the Board for discussion and approval

· Setting of Development sales objectives

· Continued monitoring and reporting of Business Development Teams achievements and forecast sales objectives summary to the board.

· Relationship management with key customers across all divisions

Supervising staff working on a Concrete Runway/Highway project. Duties:

* Meeting human resource objectives by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.

* Meets engineering construction operational standards by contributing engineering construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying engineering construction system improvements.

* Meets engineering construction financial standards by providing and keeping within budget; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.

* Working with QS and the Engineering Director on construction projects by verifying estimates, project drawings, and specifications; establishing and disseminating schedules; obtaining tools and equipment; specifying materials and supplies.

* Completes construction projects by directing civil engineering requirements; comparing project results to plans; coordinating with our Main Contractor; resolving problems. Completing all required paperwork including weekly time sheets and costing sheets.

* Accomplishes engineering and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.

Titan Plant Hire is looking to employ a full-time night shift HGV Mechanic/Large Plant Fitter.

  • Maintaining fleet of 12 HGV and fleet vehicles.
  • Implement conditions of DVSA operator’s license
  • Ensure all inspections are carried out at agreed intervals (every 6 weeks)
  • Pre MOT checks and general repairs.
  • Completing paperwork in a timely & accurate manner

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (HGV Mechanic, HGV Engineer)
  • HGV class 1 or 2 license (ideally)
  • Good understanding of VOSA regulations.
